Welcome to my portfolio!

I currently live and work in St. Augustine, Florida, with my loving husband and our two dogs - Indy, a terrier mix and Toby, a chihuahua.

My love for photography began at a very young age and eventually led to the creation of  Photography By K in Sylvania, Ohio, in 2008. After 4 years of photographing clients exclusively in natural light, I opened a physical portrait studio in 2012, where I focused on photographing children, families and high school seniors.  Outside of the studio, my work with Photography By K also included real estate photography for agents and brokers throughout the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan regions.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Bowling Green State University, and until January 2012, held a full-time day job in the corporate training field. A move to Florida in 2016 prompted the close of the Ohio photography studio the following year. Since that time, I have embraced a new path in photography, graphic design, and even web design. 

After moving to Northeast Florida, I joined the Jacksonville Camera Club becoming the Librarian in 2018 and Webmaster in 2019.  Who knows where life's journey may lead, but as long as we're all having fun along the way, it's all worthwhile!
